Developer Arc System Works has officially confirmed that Savage Hulk and Shuri's Black Panther will be playable characters in the upcoming fighting game, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. The exciting reveals were made at Evo Japan 2026, showcasing these iconic Marvel heroes ready to enter the fray.
At Evo Japan 2026, Arc System Works unveiled that Savage Hulk and Shuri's Black Panther will join the roster of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. These legendary characters will be part of the "Fighting Avengers" group. The trailer also gave fans a glimpse of Wakanda as a new playable stage, adding a vibrant and familiar location to the game's environments.
Alongside the new playable fighters, the game will feature The Champion, a formidable "cosmic conqueror" who is on a quest to find worthy opponents across the galaxy. His presence adds a significant cosmic threat to the game's narrative and roster.
The end of the latest Marvel Tokon trailer has ignited intense fan speculation. As the trailer concludes, a distinct Symbiote-like snarl can be heard. Furthermore, a brief visual distortion reveals Spider-Man's face scratched out, and a series of numbers, most notably "361," appear in the corner. This is widely interpreted as a reference to Carnage's first full appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man #361, strongly suggesting the bloodthirsty Symbiote will be the next character added to the game.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is set to launch on August 6, 2026, for PC and PlayStation 5. Prior to the full release, players will have the opportunity to try out the game through demos at Combo Breaker 2026 starting May 22 and at Hong Kong Comic Con 2026 beginning May 29.
Fans can also look forward to potential future reveals and DLC, as the game is expected to expand its roster beyond the initial launch lineup.
