Audi has significantly updated its most accessible electric vehicle, the Q4 E-Tron. The popular MEB-based EV receives substantial improvements including increased driving range, enhanced charging speeds, and a suite of new technological features. This refresh aims to keep the Q4 E-Tron competitive in the rapidly evolving electric vehicle market.

Key Takeaways

Enhanced Performance And Range

The updated Q4 E-Tron boasts a new, 10% more efficient electric motor. This upgrade boosts the maximum WLTP range for the single-motor SUV variant to 359 miles (578 km), an increase of 19 miles. The more aerodynamic Sportback version now achieves up to 368 miles (592 km). All-wheel-drive models also see range improvements of 9 to 20 miles, depending on the specific powertrain configuration.

Power outputs have also been revised. Base models deliver 201 hp, while Performance trims offer 282 hp. Dual-motor Quattro variants now produce 295 hp and 335 hp respectively. The top-tier Performance models benefit from a 10 kW increase in charging speed, reaching a peak of 185 kW, while other variants charge at 160 kW or 165 kW. The 82 kWh battery can be charged from 10-80% in just 27 minutes, with a 10-minute charge adding approximately 112 miles of range.

Advanced Technology And Features

A significant addition is bidirectional charging capability, allowing for Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) functions. The Q4 E-Tron can supply up to 2.3 kW through a standard household socket in the trunk, enabling the use of various appliances.
