Ram has officially unveiled the 2027 1500 Rumble Bee lineup, signaling a powerful return to the performance truck segment. Headlining the new family is the Rumble Bee SRT, boasting a staggering 777 horsepower and an acceleration that rivals high-performance sports sedans, including the BMW M3.
777 hp
The new Rumble Bee SRT uses this output to claim the title of the most powerful V8 production pickup in the segment.
Twenty years after the Dodge Ram SRT-10, Ram is re-entering the performance truck arena with the new Rumble Bee. This new generation of "muscle trucks" offers a range of powertrains, culminating in the SRT variant's formidable 777 hp (579 kW / 788 PS) from a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine. This makes it the most powerful, quickest, and fastest V8-powered production pickup ever.
The Rumble Bee lineup offers three distinct engine options, with clear jumps in output and acceleration as buyers move up the range.
| Model | Engine | Output | Torque | 0-60 mph |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rumble Bee | 5.7-liter Hemi V8 | 395 hp | 410 lb-ft | 6.1 sec |
| Rumble Bee 392 | 6.4-liter Hemi V8 | 470 hp | 455 lb-ft | 5.2 sec |
| Rumble Bee SRT | Supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 | 777 hp | 680 lb-ft | 3.4 sec |
All Rumble Bee models are configured as quad cabs with a shorter 5' 7" bed, resulting in a more compact and sporty 219.5-inch overall length and a 13-inch shorter wheelbase. This design not only enhances handling and reduces frame flex but also necessitated custom engineering for components like the driveshaft and brake lines. The trucks feature a widebody kit, a flow-through "RAM" grille, a performance hood with vents, and 22-inch wheels. The 392 Track Pack and SRT models further enhance aerodynamics and cooling systems.
Inside, the Rumble Bee models offer progressively upscale features. The base model includes cloth seats with Greystone accents, a console shifter, and a flat-bottom sport steering wheel. Higher trims like the 392 and SRT introduce power-adjustable leather and suede seats, larger infotainment screens (up to 14.5 inches), premium audio systems, and unique accent stitching like Prowler Yellow or Desert Orange. Carbon fiber trim and metal pedals are also available on the top-tier SRT.
The rollout is staggered, with the entry model arriving first and the more powerful versions following in 2027.
The 5.7-liter Hemi V8 Rumble Bee is scheduled to reach the market first.
The Rumble Bee 392 and the range-topping Rumble Bee SRT will follow, with production based in Saltillo, Mexico.
